Happy Thankful Thursday everyone! Yesterday mum was called to do another animal rescue, this time an injured Australian Water Dragon who lives on the golf course with his family.
Mum’s known this little guy since he was born and was saddened to see him bloodied and in bad shape. I’m so thankful to say he’s now in Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary Animal Hospital, receiving specialist attention.
Xray’s showed he suffered a fractured jaw and damage to an eye socket, requiring hospitalization for a few days and possible rehabilitation.
When the little guy’s healed Currumbin staff will phone mum and she’ll collect him and return him to his family on the golf course.
Thank you Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary Vets and Staff for taking such good care of our Water Dragon pal.

Hey Pepi, Jet here.
How kind of Mum! What an unusual golf course resident! We have huge iguanas which look somewhat similar. We hope for a speedy recovery.
