Welcome to our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. I am thankful that mum Michele is still alive to write my blog hop because an hour ago she had a close shave with a deadly predator. ‘She’ was mowing the lawns when all of a sudden she was STANDING INCHES FROM THE SECOND MOST DEADLIEST SNAKE IN THE WORLD: the Eastern Brown snake (second only to the Taipan, which we have too!)
Holy dog bones! ‘She’ froze like an ice statue and I think she even held her breath and stopped breathing. All of a sudden time stopped moving. It seemed a long time and then it slithered on and disappeared again. ‘She’ kept saying stuff like: “oh wow!” The venom of an Eastern Brown Snake contains a cocktail of poisons which paralyses the nerves of the heart, lungs and diaphragm, and suffocates the victim. It also contains a powerful procoagulant so if you survive the poison, you’ll probably bleed to death before you get to the hospital. *scream*
Changing the subject…
This video is more proof that cats are awesome:
Lots of big stuff happening here at the moment. ‘She’ is preparing to fly back to India: part vacation and part animal investigation. Thankfully we have some great people who will stay with my three kitteh-sibs, who are already not happy about seeing luggage. They are all taking turns laying inside the cases, so today she bought a stack of inside ‘night lights.’ The house might look pretty funny when all the lights come on. I keep telling her that thankfully, kitteh-sibs have perfect night vision. BOL!
Quick reminder: the Linky is working fine. Once you crop your pic it will go through by itself. Woo Hoo!
What are you thankful for this week? We’re excited to see what you got up to during the week, so please join our hop. We look forward to you visiting us again real soon. *waves paw* :=o)
