Welcome to Summer in the Southern Hemisphere. Its stinking hot way too soon so we’re not thankful about that. Don’t forget, Santa wears a bathing suit in Australia. Hee Hee!
We’re thankful to have helped a pair of Plover Birds a couple of days ago, who are sitting on eggs which are about to hatch. It took almost an hour, but we put up a rope fence to alert people to stay away from them until the eggs are hatched. Plover parents with babies are extremely vicious and fly in tandem, let jet pilots, with their wings spurs protruding forward, ready to impale anyone or anything threatening them, and they scream in anger very loud.
We’re always thankful for other fellow animal rescuers. Today we were called to an emergency after a large Kangaroo had been struck by a car and seriously injured (thankfully it was not one of our own Kangaroos.) We were on our way to the scene, but thankfully one of the Animal Ambulances happened to be driving past and stopped and euthanized the roo, which meant we could turn around and go home.
Vietnam animal lovers are inventing some pretty swish hairstyles for their pets (and themselves.)
We love nature and can thankfully always find peace of mind in the garden; this photo captures a corner of our garden.
We are joining Brian’s Home in his Thankful Thursday blog hop (he has taken it over for us.)
Wishing you a great week and hope you’ll come back and visit us again. *waves paw* :=o)
