VinnyThePug dedicated his life to his three favourite things: family, rock climbing and raising donations for pals in need.
*cute alert* As a baby, with an extra cute smile and twinkle in his little eyes Vinny wanted a challenge, so he took up rock climbing while his family cheered him on. But why stop there?
Any pal can have a record (vinyl spinning things) but not many pals are in the ‘BOOK of Guinness Records!’ As an adult man-dog in more than 5,000 photos of rock climbs, Vinny made his pitch to solidify his own record in ‘that book.’
Shock and horror – the humans controlling ‘that book’ couldn’t compete with Vinny’s ‘Vinnyness’ and they rejected him. *throws paws in air* Is this a horror story? *screams and reaches for tissues*
But nothing stops Vinny! Who needs their name in a stupid book anyway? Vinny had bigger fish to fry. Triumphant in his harness, climbing ropes and clasps, Vinny stood tall (on a high rock) and announced his plan:
“Help Me Donate $1,000,000.00 To 1,000 Rescue Shelters By 2020.”
Vinny asks: “What if we divided $1,000,000.00 among 1,000 US and Canadian pet rescue shelters? Is it possible to reach 100% NO-KILL by 2020? Join us because we’re going to find out.”
To kick his fundraising campaign into action Vinny brought out a range of Private Label Vinny Wines. Then he took over the radio airwaves and barked his message into pals’s houses: ‘let’s help pals in need by donating $1,000.00 to as many different animals shelters as possible between now and 2020.’
Today I met Vinny at the Rainbow Bridge and drove him to his Welcome Banquet where our Head Chef’s surprised him with a Rock Wall Banquet laid out on huge rocks of cheese with boulders of turkey.
As soon as we crossed the bridge Vinny got all his new stuff (just like I got my new eyes and new kidneys.) And we can eat anything and do everything.
At his banquet, everyone cheered as Vinny demonstrated his mad skillz scurrying up the Pepperoni Mountain, only to ab-sail down on his Ropes Of Jerky, where upon @ChatteMuse pushed the magic button and bacon chunks rained down from the ceiling, much to everyone’s delight.
Vinny’s dad: we promise to take excellent care of Vinny until the day you unexpectedly arrive at the bridge, where Vinny will be waiting to meet you. Meanwhile, he’s surrounded by great pals and together we all laugh and play, nom and nap.
You will be a forever family again…not just yet.
When pals reading this see Vinny’s dad at BlogPaws, please stop and give him a big hug; he could really use it. I’m including links to two of my Rainbow Bridge short videos:
Message from Rainbow Bridge, an uplifting message of hope to all families of those who have pals over the Rainbow Bridge.
