@Smokey8 Arrives OTRB
@Smokey8 has arrived over the Rainbow Bridge. As soon as each of us cross the bridge our body is refreshed and renewed, ready to enjoy our Welcome Banquet.
As Smokey danced past me leading the conga line at his Welcome Banquet, everyone was singing: “S-M-O-K-E-Y-8 Smokey is his name…”
A long time ago his mom Tess whispered (to me) “Smokey’s favourite song is The Mickey Mouse Club theme song.” No wonder Smokey looks good in red shorts.
In appreciation of his generous spirit and loving heart, we surprised Smokey by all dressing as Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse. Our Banquet Room had a big sign above the doorway: ‘Cute Alert’ because we all looked way too cute.
When @Smokey8 stepped into the Banquet Room a huge cheer rang out as pals leapt up to give him a standing ovation. @ChatteMuse stepped forward to present Smokey with the keys to his own Diamond Motorbike, which every new pal receives.
Smokey couldn’t believe it. He was stunned. Minutes later Head Chefs @Roo and @PuzTheCat announced Smokey’s Menu items were being served. Little paws carried in platter after platter of Smokey’s favourite noms as Smokey stood transfixed, with his tail high in the air.
As little paws pulled the heavy velvet curtains back and revealed the 25′ tall Tower of Tuna, Smokey fainted. It was more than he’d ever dreamed of. As soon as he smelt the clotted cream near his face he sprung up ready to get his pawty started. His mom also told me he likes to be tickled so we’ll have a tickle fest later. BOL!
Random Acts Of Kindness
Pals have no idea how many random acts of kindness @Smokey8 and his mom have done over the years. They’ve secretly arranged and paid for dozens of Rainbow Bridge portraits by @Zaziart, that were quietly gifted to grieving families, pawpawty portraits plus donations to different animal rescue shelters and many other general good-guy random acts of kindness that go unseen.
He never blew a trumpet or played a zither to get attention for his kindness. On behalf of all pals helped by @Smokey8 and his mom, I’d like to say a very humble: “THANK YOU Smokey, dear friend.”
Two years ago I wrote an article about this in the Anipal Times titled: Random Acts Of Kindness. Two years on and everything in their article still applies.
To Smokey’s Mom
Dear Smokey’s mom, we are so sorry for your suffering. We know how deeply you love Smokey and how much he loves you, so please remember: Smokey has not gone! He is still with you and you’ll hear him whisper to your heart, where he lives on forever.
When you find yourself unexpectedly standing on the bridge, Smokey will be there to meet you and you ‘will’ be a forever family again, but until that time we’ll keep Smokey busy with all our fun stuff in our beautiful Rainbow Garden, until the day you arrive.
If you hear thunder, don’t be scared cause it’s just Smokey doing wheelies on his new diamond motorbike. And when you see lightening, it’s Smokey showing off for you. You will be a forever family…but not just yet.
Tess you are loved by many, including all of us over the Rainbow Bridge, but especially dear Smokey. Remember to look up and see him wave to you from our Waving Cloud, you’ll know it’s him by the brightness of the star. The flickering is from our smiles. You are loved.
