Hi Everyone, hope you’ve had a great week. We barktended at #BlogPawty over the weekend and it was a blast! We were thankful for TWO BIG SURPRISES that we honestly did not know were going to happen.
1) I received an Award for my services as Rainbow Bridge Spokesdog. I was crying happy tears and caught completely by surprise.
2) All of a sudden @DaisyDoolittle announced that it was “Her” (Michele) birthday and she played Happy Birthday by Stevie Wonder and everyone at #BlogPawty started celebrating “Her” birthday! “She” was blubbering like a giant baby.
Between my Award and her birthday, we were blubbering and couldn’t see to type. BOL! I highly recommend the BlogPaws pawties because we don’t raise donations; thankfully their pawties are all about fun. And they have amazing free prizes to win.
On a very sad note, yesterday our friend @NoCryBabyDogs (Daffy)’s human, Ingrid died. We knew Ingrid was sick but we didn’t expect her to pass away so soon. Thankfully, Ingrid was able to die with peace in her heart, knowing Daffy can live out her life with @DanaPixie.
We will always remember Ingrid for her love of “silver haired cowboys.” She was always on the lookout for one and she’d joke about them any chance she got and we’d all roar with laughter. I know Daffy’s mom will be dancing and laughing with lots of silver haired cowboys over the Rainbow Bridge. Shortly I shall write a tribute article about Ingrid and Daffy.
A BIG THANK YOU to Dana, her husband Jim and their kitteh Tsk, for taking Daffy into your family. This photo was one of Ingrid’s favourite pictures of Daffy.
What are you thankful for this week? Please share it with us so we can get to know you a little better and swap stories. I’m still pushing my Guest Post idea: would anyone like me to guest post on their blog? Would you like to guest post on mine? You can write about anything at all and it doesn’t have to be big either. Hee Hee. Don’t forget to zip from blog to blog and check everyone’s story out. It’s fun! I’ve left a comment on everyone’s blog who entered last week.
Congrats on the the special award!!! We were so very sad to hear about dear Ingrid, she was a true, true Twitter friend and will be missed by everyone.
Thanks Brian. Very sad about Ingrid; she will be missed by many pals but it sure is a comfort to know Daffy will be living with @DanaPixie.
So glad you won that special award. And it is so wonderful that Daffy has a home. I didn’t know Ingrid but it sounds very sad. Have a terrific day.
Thank you, and yes it’s great news about Daffy. She will be loved and very busy. :=o)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Michele! And congrats on the award Pepi. We were also very sad to lose Ingrid.
I would love to have you as a guest on my blog and I’d be happy to be a guest on yours.
Thanks Rachelle. Awesome to swap Guest Posts with each other. BOL!
We didn’t know Ingrid or Daffy but we were sad to see so many mentions of them. They were evidently loved by many.
Congratulations on the award. You deserve it.
Daffy and Ingrid were very well known; Daffy is now living in Oregon and will be very loved. Thanks about the Award .:=o)
Congratulations on that awesome and well-deserved award! We’re so proud of you. 🙂
Thank you for your kind wishes about the award. It was a big surprise. BOL! :=o)
We didn’t know Ingrid or Daffy but any loss in the pet blogger community is a collective loss. It’s a big relief to know Daffy has a new loving home. Congrats on your awards!
Daffy will have a good life with DanaPixie, in Oregon which would make Ingrid very happy. Thank you about my award. :=o)
Me miss the nice hoomin Ingrid. Rest in peace.
Me too, but I’m sure she’s smiling down on Daffy who is safe and snuggly with DanaPixie. XXX
