Welcome to our Thanksgiving Special Edition, Thankful Thursday weekly blog hop. Wishing each of our American pals a [stress free] Happy Thanksgiving. In Australia we do not celebrate Thanksgiving, but we tried to get in the spirit of things. :=o)
And joining in the fun:
Last night we received a phone call that mum’s favourite Koala needed rescuing. We searched for 1.5 hours with no luck and after a sleepless night we located him first light this morning. Thankfully he did ‘not’ need rescuing. I am always thankful for false alarms. We live on a golf course and he’s “in our backyard.”
As you look at the Koala’s photos, remember: this is a wild Koala living in his natural environment, not a zoo or a wildlife park. This guy is the real thing! He is listed as CRITICALLY ENDANGERED.
Koalas are nocturnal: their awake all night and sleep during the day. Seen moving around during the day they can often look ill, but its like humans stumbling around at night, going to the bathroom. Hee Hee!
Pals please remember Savannah in your prayers, from Savannah and Lucy – she has torn two ligaments and will need surgery, possibly specialist surgery. Its also a very stressful time for her humans, who are are very worried about her. If you see them online, I’m sure they would be thankful for a hug and some positive thoughts. Get well soon Savannah.
We hope our American pals can enjoy their thanksgiving and not get too stressed out. *points to banana lounge incase you need to take a power nap on it to relieve thanksgiving stress* Is anyone having a vegan or vegetarian thanksgiving?
What are you thankful for this week? Please join our blog hop and share your week with us. I’ll visit each pal’s site tonight, who joined us last week. Because our hop link stays open all week, sometimes pals arrive days late so commenting late means I don’t leave anyone out. :=o)
Hope to see you here next week too! *waves paw*
