Welcome to the home of Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. We have finally started posting again. We joined Sunday Selfie and this week we’ll join some more groups too. Thank you to everyone who left us comments; we were a bit nervous so it was nice to be welcomed. :=o)
Before I went Over The Rainbow Bridge, I would demand to have clothes put on me and would bark in mom’s face until she let me choose what I wanted to wear. She’d hold up outfits and I’d shut my eyes and turn my head until she picked up the one I wanted. Then I’d wag my tail like crazy and run forward and push my head into it. Because I insisted on always wearing something, thankfully this method avoided mix-ups. Hee Hee!
I had 22 outfits, including a tailor made 3 x piece pin-stripped suit with a separate button down white shirt with cufflinks. That was my all time favorite! I was a Celebrity Dog and the official poster boy for The Animal Welfare League and used to attend functions as a Featured Guest, so my suit was perfect for those occasions. As much as I loved dressing up, I still remained a dog first – and I never walked on two legs! [we are not going to mention my short legs!]
Check out this Chinese dog – for years she gets dressed in human clothes and walks around the streets upright, with her owner. *gasp* Poodles are known for walking upright but she is not a poodle, just an everyday smooth coat-cream colored mixed breed. Of course now that I’ve mentioned poodles, I sure hope Cole doesn’t get an ideas and appear in his human father’s best suit! ROCLMAO.
We are thankful to our Gold Coast City Council for taking on the case of our fatally injured kangaroo. The head person in Animal Management came to our house and had a meeting with mum (Michele ), and we feel very confident that justice will be served on behalf of our kangaroo. If you would like to read his story: Tame Kangaroo Fatally Injured By A Great Dane Dog. Reader discretion advised because there are some graphic photos of him. As we sat on the sofa, all three of of my fur-sibs sat next to the Animal Management lady. I was thankful they behaved! *phew*
What are you thankful for this week? Hope you’ll join our hope and share your week with us. I’ll zoom by later tonight and leave a comment for everyone who joined us last week. Zooming to everyone’s website is a lot of fun and I really recommend it. Try and leave pals comments too – especially if they don’t already have comments. Your comment can really make a pal’s day! Hope to see you here next week too. *waves paw* :=o)
