Thankfully we were finally able to rescue this elderly, skinny and very lost cat who had lay down to die, probably of a broken heart. When he realized we were going to rescue him he had one last fight with our net and in the end collapsed, with all his claws tangled in mesh. He laid there as we untangled him and then drove him to hospital. This was tricky because it was a night time rescue, in the dark.
Sad news to learn @BabyPatches is closing her Nip And Bones store. For years she has sold the coolest dog and cat stuff available. Thankfully she’s having a last minute blowout sale which ends July 6, so zip across to her website and look for Blowout Sale and Mystery Box for some extra good prices. Then check out all her other things – there’s so much great ‘stuff.’ Nip and Bones website: click here.
A bright spark of good news! A world first has taken place in Adelaide Zoo, Australia. An endangered orphaned baby tree kangaroo has been saved by using a surrogate wallaby (totally different species), to cross-foster the baby. And it worked! This is something very awesome. I’d like to wish all our American pals a Happy July 4th! Being an old codger, please remember to have your pals inside when fireworks go off. We hate them and sometimes break out and can’t find our way home. *old codger rant over*
