We have been fortunate enough to have done a lot of world travel over the years and one of the first things mum (Michele), does at each new location is buy packaged dog and cat food, to carry in her bag so that she can assist dogs and cats in need, on the spot. When you travel, please do go ahead and feed the animals; it may the only decent meal they get all day.
The following photographs were taken at Ephesus in Turkey, which is most famous because of the role Ephesus plays in the Bible, back in Jesus day. Ephesus is steeped in history but like most parts of Turkey, Ephesus has many stray dogs and cats which are mostly ignored by tourists.

It only takes a minute to rip open a cat food package. Other tourists wil think your crazy, but the hungry cat or dog will thank you.

Typical scene at Ephesus which they don’t show you in the travel brochures: one million tourists everywhere you look. On the day, I did not see anyone else feed animals or any other trace of them being fed. If your a tourist, please do feed the animals.
What amazing photos. Thank you for sharing this, as we don’t think we will ever be able to go there. And it looks fascinating.
