Welcome to our Sunday Selfie post. This week we are featuring the Ibis, a bird which many people dislike because they are a scavenger bird. Ibis birds are part of the clean-up crew and play a vital role in our ecological system, a fact which is often overlooked by many people.
People need to realize that animal clean-up crews are important in all walks of our societies – including cities. Ibis birds may not be pretty, but they do a pretty amazing job for us that often goes unnoticed and without thanks.
Wild Ibis birds live longer than 28 years, which is well past their ability to be able to breed. Although there seem to be an endless supply of Ibis, the breeding numbers are small by comparison. The least we can do is help them when they are injured and in need of medical attention. *Pepi jumps off his soap box*
